Welcome to Tachiscan

You've been invited here either for your gregarious nature, been shared a link or randomly found your way here to experience our web app teaser.

We hope to collect some feedback from you but mainly shared this teaser because many people have been asking what we are up to.

This teaser is only a hint of what's to come in the near future.

What inspired Tachi in the first place?

Thoughts give birth to creative forces. When we conceptualized specific mechanisms to this project two prior inventions showed a similar likeness.

The Tachi sword, a Japanese weapon once used by the Mongols sliced better than any existing sword at the time, likewise Tachi images will produce this effect.

The Tachistoscope, an 1859 invention that was used in World War 2 to increase the reaction time in fighter pilots and even today used to increase the reading speed in students.

This mechanism we believe is an undiscovered ability that we all possess and once tapped into can be a tool to synthesize information. This we found to be true through our experiments.

So what is/will be Tachi?

This teaser is strictly to add fun, rhythm, abstract discovery and playfulness to your day. In a few words we've defined Tachi as a;

  • Content Discovery Instrument
  • Rhythmic Content Exchanger
  • Content Continuity Collaborator
  • Time Perspective Tool
What we plan to do is allow you the user to "Play Information" in a completely unique way that breaks the paradigm of what social platforms have molded you in to using for information collaboration. There are many different ways to tell a story and this is a way to end dead content. Breaking the mold of how information should be interpreted is why new ideas develop.

Google, Apple and Microsoft operating systems were modelled around the old paper, file and folder system and has not changed since their creation. Our goal is for you to be able to create, share and discover, skim, scan and tell a story with all sorts of content like a Tetris of tidbits.

How do I use it?

Once you've clicked on the link type in a keyword, it is best viewed by turning your phone sideways (landscape mode -- and make sure you have Auto-Rotate on!). Ultimately, viewing it on a larger screen such as a tablet, laptop or desktop gives the user a better experience. The search bar feature of this teaser is not intended to mimic Google in any way. This is Tachi.

Think abstract.

Don't anticipate the returns you would get from Google. If your looking for that state of mind, go there. Consider the teaser to be like a GIF music video. Simply type in preferably 3 words or less in the search bar then press play. All words, people, places, things, etc. you type in won't all share the same 'flowing' feeling but what do you expect?

It's a T-E-A-S-E-R!

If you see something you like to share from one of the lenses that passes by simply pause it then click or touch the lens which will take you to the source of the content. From there you can copy or share it in a text or on a social media platform of your preference. Another way to share is if you like the whole 'show' of something you've type in simply click or touch the yellow share button in the search bar. Then from there paste it into an email, text, blog or social media platform to share the same thing you saw. Some keyword results are downright hilarious, others creepy, some even poetic but above all, playful.

Below are some keywords we have tried which entertained us for endless hours. You are all diamonds in the ruff so shine bright like one!...
